(LPS B, C1 and D combined) PORCINE SALMONELLA ANTIBODY Test Kit
The B, C1, and D ELISA kit will measure the amount of antibody to group B, C1 and D salmonella species in the serum or meat juice of pigs. Microtitre plates have been pre-coated with inactivated B, C1 and D LPS. Samples taken from pigs are diluted and added to the microtitre wells where any anti-B, C1 or D antibodies present will bind and form an antigen-antibody complex. Non-specific antibodies and other sample proteins are then washed away. Anti-pig antibody labelled with the enzyme alkaline phosphatase is then added to the wells and binds to any Swine any anti-B, C1, D originally bound to antigen. After another wash to remove unreacted conjugate, substrate is added in the form of pNPP chromogen. A yellow colour is developed if any anti-B, C1, D antibody is present and the intensity is directly related to the amount of antibody present in the sample.
