A highly sensitive and specific PCR test kit allowing simultaneous differentiation and quantification of the hemagglutinin (HA) subtypes of Avian Influenza viruses; H5, H7, and H9.
The highly pathogenic subtype H5 and H7 viruses are causing severe problems around the globe resulting in major economic losses and trade barriers. The H9 subtype belongs to the low pathogenic viruses, but is widespread in some regions causing severe disease outbreaks in poultry. Also, an increased frequency of direct transmission of the three different subtypes to humans is observed.
The Influenza H5-H7-H9 Multiplex RNA Test Kit allows for the simultaneous detection, differentiation and quantification of the hemagglutinin(HA) subtypes of avian influenza (AI) viruses; H5, H7, and H9.
